Mt. Hood Revisited.....

For those who attended the CVO GTG in Mt. Hood.......some pics of what it looked like over Labor Day weekend.......fire on the mountain.

Heading north, starting in Rogue River, Oregon, it seemed like we were seeing eagles everywhere...





and the size of this one can be judged by the guy sitting on the curb to the lower left

Where there's smoke....



The fire was on the west slope....so the east slope was clear.  This is the road that we all took after we left the ski resort and headed back to Hood River

The little boat at the bottom of the picture was sold out.....looked to be about 20-30 people.....puts the size and depth of the lake inside the crater into perspective.







There were a lot of fires burning in Oregon last weekend....

 Great pictures of our state JC...yep, we are on fire from lighting strikes. The smoke is coming towards the coast now  :( but it does make for some nice sunsets.

 Rogue River has the national crowing contest. I have been trying to talk Terry into entering...I guess he is shy.  :huepfenlol2:
