It's good to read something that reflects how I feel about this special machine. It's like nothing else made, although emulated by many.
Hope you don't mind my saying that I recommend you seek out a reliable training program if they're available in South Africa. Working with others who've got the training would help provide valuable tools you need to be a safe(er) rider. I too am new to this site, but I've been riding for over 40 years. In the last ten years, I've taken several training classes, one just a week ago and will again next spring. For me, it's to accelerate the learning curve and to assure the one i love the most arrives at her destination unscathed. I mostly like the feel of the open road, but for those times when that extra edge is needed -- it can save a life.
