Nice, JR.  If you're going to keep the '05, I can see no down side.

As others have said, the ABS and frame change outweigh any concerns with the 110, not to mention the additional creature comforts of the new bike.

You guys crack me up!!! :D ;D :huepfenlol2:

I went there this morning and a front came through and started sprinkling outside. Looked it over again and they straightened out the saddle bag fillers that were off center and crooked. Still can't seem to pull the trigger on it right now. The bike is awesome! The yellow looks to me almost like a chrome yellow with less sparkle. Told them I will be back when the sun is out and give them my final decision. I asked if there is anyone else in Memphis that put their name down and they said no but have others in line at their other stores.

Here is my thought process. If there is one thing the Lord has taught me is patience. If this bike is meant to be mine I will know it. With me being on the fence, that's is my first alert. I am not ruling out getting this bike later in the year. Winter is approaching, uncertain economy and hopes that a SERGU2 may come out mid year. I know, I know I'm dreaming! ::) Originally was considering selling my nana and with savings I would pay off new bike. Decided I can't let it go so I would have to finance. Time would only help me with my original goal of being able to payoff the new scooter or be close. There are new and like new 2011's out there right now that are a whole lot cheaper and already have pipes and tuner installed, another possibility! :2vrolijk_21:

So for now, I'm still on the fence but leaning in the direction of being patient and waiting. That is until I read this thread!!! :huepfenlol2: I was ready to pull the trigger after hearing the wonderful encouragements from my friends. Thanks for your comments and God bless! :2vrolijk_21:

Sounds like a sage analysis, JR.  There is always another one.  For that $$, the deal should be perfect!  (And the paint, too.)  Good luck!

JR,

Last year going to MV, a car pulled out in front of me. No time for anything except lock it down, both front and rear brakes. ABS brakes worked flawlessly. Couldn't believe how fast it came to a stop. Of course, I still hit the car, but, barely. I honestly believe that if I didn't have the bike with ABS brakes, I'd be either dead or at a minimum banged up pretty bad.

Buy the bike!

Never heard of anyone on their death bed wishing they had saved more money.  ;D

JR...Is the dark color on the bike more or less Charcoal Gray with sparse silver flecks?  The silver stripe matches your helmet... ::)  The yellow on top looks good, and the silver seperates the two colors well.

A mid year SERGU?  I don't know about that one.  Frankly, I was surprised that they didn't do a second year, but there must not be a lot of demand for a RG with TP...I guess folks want RG's to be Low and Lean.  If I was a betting man, I'd put the odds on a SERGU at 100:1, particularly since the SERGX seems to be moving well.

Sounds like wisdom to me. Not like you don't have a bike to ride. Hope you find a settled place on the decision.

And a fine one too!  2 bikes are good, but you can take your time to get just the one and the right deal since your riding a SEEG. :-*  har.  spyder

I don't know ... you walked away from it twice, that says something, too.  When they called and said the '04 came in and I went there and saw the below, it was over!  And the two or three days I had to wait to pick it up were miserable.  Those are the feelings that'll have to happen again for me to move into something new, nevermind the ABS, new frame, or whatever other new safety/handling/comfort features they integrate.  If you don't like the looks of it and don't have an emotional attachment to it to begin with, you're not going to get one from the ABS, I don't think. :nixweiss:

Got to agree.... we as humans are most moved by our visual emotions... if it doesn't give you that warm/fuzzy (got to have) feeling then more then likely we as humans don't buy it. :nixweiss: I haven't had a bike give my that "visual emotional feeling" since I bought the current one I own.
