I've seen both in person and As much as I wanted to like ruby better, the ghost effect on the hot citrus is the bomb. The detail just seems to pop better on that color.

Question: the headlight on Pasn yu's ruby... What is that; is it a smoked cover or a different lamp. Love it! Where can I get one!

It's the LED headlight Harley makes in black (they make it in both black and chrome). It's a little pricey but I love it at night.

I didn't get a chance to see either colour but took the plunge and ordered the Citrus in July 2011, Citrus is a hard colour to take a decent picture of with all the pop in the sun, shade, at night and under a street light its a different colour. My custom Fatboy in Candy Red sits beside the SG and the SG really pops beside the Candy red. Both are beautiful colours but that Citrus is the Bomb.

Well I'm in Japan and have a choice of both at a really good price the only problem is I have an 09 CVO Ultra sitting in my garage. If I pull the trigger on one of these beauties my better half is not gonna be too happy 

I kinda like the Citrus better in the photos on Page 1......Hmmmmmm 

I've been told it's easier to ask forgiveness then it is to ask permission... have no experience at this... just sayin'.

You must not have paid (bought her forgiveness gifts) enough for your mistakes.... either that or check in spare closets, under bed for items she has purchased w/o you knowing. Wimmens are famous for coming out w/new outfits that you have never seen before and claim they "have had them forever" when they are actually new and first time worn when you see them.

I agree, Anton. I have taken a LOT of pics of my bike - but the Hot Citrus does NOT come out nearly as pretty as it is in person in any of them. It's SO beautiful in person - but nearly impossible to photograph accurately.

I have found that the best thing is to get it out on a cloudy but fairly bright day, with no sunshine. Sunshine will make the yellow in the paint just POP right out at the camera, and the parts that look that beautiful orange to your eyes will look all YELLOW to the camera. Flash or indoor lights do the same thing - using a flash doesn't work at all... all you see it yellow-gold.

If you have access to pro equipment, flashing off of a background diffuser should help a lot... it will eliminate the yellow from popping out at the camera so much. The Citrus is a really complex paint formulation... lots of different colors of small flake in it.. The Gunstock is also quite complex... lots of different flake colors in it, too.
