Yes, this is a new product for them. I ordered them in Laughlin in April I just got them. They are the same as the bottom one but with the milled grooves in them.

Headwinds FLT Spotlight & Turn Signal Kit.
http://www.headwinds.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=headwinds01&Category_Code=0102021007

Here is the part number for the lights.  #2-2434-21M-11ZA

Yes they are very pricey but nice quality. MSRP $589.95

For the installation, it was not to bad. He uses 3/8 bolt which makes it pretty tight. It comes with plugs for the end of the wires. But they are the wrong ends for our bikes. So I just use the ones off of the stock lights.

I wired it into my high beams so there on when the high beams lights are on.

How close are the lights to your lowers?

Picture #2 shows they are really close.  Any problems?

Thanks,

I have the same question.  From the photos it looks like it is touching the lowers.

I was considering the MotoLights with the caliper mount and LED inserts... Any idea how these compare?

Black with milled grooves not in their website.  Only the gloss black units...  I will check during Biketoberfest.

MotoLights are around the same price point... got to pay if you want good lights with a quality housing...

Any chance to take a photo that shows the mount point?  How well do the integrate to the factory base?  Do they match nicely?

Apologies for so many questions, I was set on the Motolights but those headwinds look very nice, and the milled units match the tip of the mufflers...

:) I decided to put fender lights on as didn't want them too close to the main headlight.
Also needed to make it look different from honda's etc.

I kept looking in the website... they have just the spot lights that can be mounted to the fork leg... I can keep my turn signals stock and just get the 2" spot lights.  That brings the price down considerably.

If I do a price breakdown, the spot lights chrome are 179.00 and black milled is 219.00.  The fork mounted chrome setup they sell is 329.00.  That is around 150.00 for the fork brackets... question is, can I make a set of brackets for a lot less and save me the 150.00?

I guess that would depend on whether you have some billet laying around and the the machines to work it.

My guess is that getting what you  make chromed will then be another $100 anyway.

Is that legal? I was under the impression they had to be hooked up so they go off when you hit the high beams? Seems like its that way with car running light at least? I know most car kits come with a relay for that. I don't know about motorcycle? Does anyone know? That would be sweet to have them on and high beams!

Is that legal?

In most places not, but a very common change on bikes, trucks and cars.
Have it that way on the bike and was on my GMC. Haven't made the change yet on the new truck though.
