2012 Ultra
« on: September 23, 2011, 07:37:55 AM »

Looks like i did it. I pick up a 2012 Ultra Black and Orange next Wednesday. Got it for $200 under MSRP. I had to get something off as I have never paid MSRP for any bike. I'm thinking of going with the Fullsac setup. They will send me a head pipe and I just send them mine. Any thoughts?

Congratulations on the new bike. I just switched over to a Fullsac X-Pipe last week. Could not be happier.

I didn't think Fullsac was swapping out the stock header for a de-catted one anymore. I have a stock header that I started de-catting. I will let it go cheap if you want it.

They will send you one and all you do it send the one you take off  back for $199. If you are going to change the cams they recommend another one they sell but I do not plan to change the cams. They have a great customer services.

Steve still does de-cat'd stock head pipes.  For $199 he'll send you a de-cat'd ceramic coated stock head pipe.  When you receive that pipe, you send your stock head pipe back to Fulsac.  It's a budget way of getting a ceramic coated head pipe.  I would recommend though, if you're going to Fulsac route to go ahead and spring the extra dollars, about $140 more, and get his ceramic coated "X" pipe.

Have to agree with the Fulsac setup, 2" cores.  Also put it on my 2012 Ultra.  Sounds great. Runs great.
P.S. planenut: Your bike looks great.

On my 2009 I had a 6.5 inch Klocks Works windshield. Liked the look but the wind blew right in my face. Should I go with the 8.5 inch or is there a better choice/
