I have read numerous threads about the difference of a 18, 19 and 21 inch front rims on members bikes, some like them and some don't because of the adverse handling, but most of them do.  I want to know for those of us that have our bikes already lowered by the factory (the RG and SG) how they like switching to a 21" front wheel compared to the factory 18, 19 or 16 wheel?

Would you keep your 21" if you had a chance to go back to the factory size if it was no additional expense on your part?

Also what size & brand tire are you now running with that 21" rim?

I'm investigating a 26" front wheel on my CVO FLSTSE so am very interested in comments from those who have installed larger front wheels.

Went with a 21 on my old 07 road king. The dealer initialy installed a 21/90 Metzler. I didn't like the look or the feel (too skinny). I had him change it out to a 21/120, night and day difference. I loved it. No fender clearance issues. It does raise the height a little though. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

now the make a 130 21 tire

have to wollow out the rear fender hole to give the tire a little more clearance.....which puts the fender closer to the lowers

I am still considering swapping out my OEM 18/18 wheel combo for either a 21/18 combo or 19/19 combo aftermarket but haven't gotten much feedback from CVO RG owners about what they are running......whether they stayed with the factory sizes or changed?

It seems like some people are running into problems with the 21" on clearance issues but it seems to be on non-cvo models, an also they like the handling better with the 19 or even the stock 18.

Can you post pictures of your rims on a CVO model and any comments of if you are glad of the switch.
