Pedro, I agree with TCnBham, would like to add some thoughts. A few of the members here will not win any prizes for having a lot of tact or personality but they know there chit and most are trying to help in there own way. I started riding on a big Suzuki Intruder 1500 and had the same problem as you of going into the other lane. Finally, one of my buddys gave me a helpful tip and I will pass it on to you. First as others have said turn your head and look where you want to go. Second, (here it is), before you ever start moving turn the handlebars toward the direction you are wanting to go. Try it! Seems like I had more trouble turning to the left. Practice, practice, practice!!! Good Luck.

Hey I just tried to send Pedro a pm and got an error that says no such member exists.  Have we been hoodwinked?  His account is still there.

For the people who were nice and welchoming, thank you.

For those who were rude and harsh, think back to when you were a beginning motor bike rider. There is so much to learn. I am no an expert rider, and never will be. But I do have a strong want to ride good.

I will be in contact with Mr Iron Horse when we get back from vacation. I am opin to instruction but am not rich. I spend a lot of my savings to buy this road king. We must work with what we have.

For now I am going to stay of this forum. I find many of the comments to be hurtful.

Pedro,
Please call Iron Horse now,,he said he would work with you. His schedule is busy so it would be important that you at least get something scheduled with him.. If you are true and really want to learn to ride your Road King better and safer, i will donate $50 out of my pocket to pay IronHorse to help you.. I am sure other forum members here would be glad to help as well....  Iron Horse,,, you have my word that i will help Pedro with $50 payment towards his riding lesions if he chooses to sign up with you   :2vrolijk_21:

:2vrolijk_21: good for you! "IMHO" anyone they "THINKS" cannot learn wheather novice or very advanced is in for a surprise ! I Know I like to talk to riders after taking lessons, safer for all of us, be sides in 40+ riding I do get tired of riders being in bad situations they didn't see ahead of time. That's too bad. If he was real (and I want to believe he was), he was getting some good advice in addition to the shelacking. Hope he contacts Mark. Perhaps a good experience there will bring him back.

Sadly, the anonymity afforded to forum members can, in some folks, fuel blunt talk and hurtful comments.

I hope Pedro comes back, signs on with the same name, tells a few posters to stick it where the sun don't shine; acknowledges and accepts the help the rest are offering, and then utilizes the forum for what it is for:  Sharing knowledge and promoting safe motorcycling.

Hammering the guy out the door was just plain wrong.  However I think he took it too hard and should have told a couple peeps off.  I hate to see anyone just leave over "unhelpful" comments.  There's too much collective knowledge here to just abandon it when you are just getting started in the sport.

Just sayin'.

OK guys, we have a new member with a problem, he has reached out to his new friends for help, not to hear a bunch of people telling him he should not be riding his bike.

I would like to remind all the members that we have rules about bashing other members !!!!

Please be advise " No bashing"
