Hey you should have no problem.  My bike arrived today in same shape as it left Kenosha.

Keyboard rocks.

Congrats

I have tried several of "the others" and not been pleased. Keyboard Carriage is simply the best. I have used Keyboard many times and and they are always excellent.

 :2vrolijk_21:

Jon and I both used Keyboard to ship from Sacramento to Atlanta.......no issues and arrived early.

Ernie used Keyboard to ship from New Jersey to Calif......no issues.

If I need to ship in the future it will not even be a question.......it'll be Keyboard! :2vrolijk_21:

Resurrecting this thread...kinda.  JCZ, could you give some prices you paid Keyboard for some of the different orgins/destinations you shipped your bike to?  Anyone else?  Has anyone had a BAD experiece with Keyboard?

I just bought a used Road King Police off eBay and need to have it shipped from San Antonio, TX area to Spokane, WA.

EDIT:  I just noticed on Keyboard's web site that they're not servicing the Mountian or Pacific time zones (with few exceptions) which leaves them out for me.  Can anyone recommend a good alternative?  Some who are headed out here to Spokane in July for the GTG this summer may also be interested...

Thanks!
Dave

That really surprises me about Keyboard, why don't you call them and ask? I used them to ship my bike home from North Carolina to Calif it cost me around 550.00 if I remember right? They did a great job! A lot will give you a discount if your a hog member.

I believe it was $550 from Sacramento to Atlanta for Jon and I.

Several here have shipped via Keyboard in and out of Jim's shop over in the bay area.

Like Don suggested, give them a call tomorrow. :2vrolijk_21:

I just phoned Keyboard, and spoke to Kelly.  She confirmed they are no longer servicing the Northwest and Mountain states citing the high cost of fuel.

FYI...

Back to square one. Any other recommendations?  Federal through AMA?  Haul Bikes?

Thanks,
Dave

Well, California is neither of those.....are they still coming in from Vegas or Ariz. across the south and shipping to/from Calif? :nixweiss:

That place would have to close up shop if Kelly left......that's who I dealt with years ago. :2vrolijk_21:

X 2 about Kelly.
When I call and don't get Kelly Cecil I just call back later.
She knows and understands our needs.

Good luck!! I could not find ANY shipper to commit to shipping a trike from Ohio to Colorado last summer. I called every shipper I could find. After one month of phone calls, and waiting for a call back, we finally took a trailer out to Ohio, and brought it back ourselves. Three days of non stop driving and $1,000.00 dollars in fuel, but one month of waiting for a shipping date was more than enough. I heard all of the shippers " stories", and it seams they all had one.  And yes I also called Keyboard

I should have said Mountain and Pacific time zones...and that is confimed by Kelly.  This is word for word on their web site and she verbally confirmed over the phone:

**Currently we are not servicing: Moutain / Pacific Time Zones (exceptions:  Albuquerque Phoenix Denver and Las Vegas areas)**

She told me there just wasn't enough business to justify servicing the West and along with the high fuel costs, they were losing money out here.  I thought about asking her why they just didn't raise rates enough to cover the increased costs, but I didn't.  I told her they came highly recommended on the CVO Owners Forum -- I could tell she was just shrugging her shoulders.

I would call the local hd dealer and see who they can recommend.  Plus you might be able to find someone out there who could rent a trailer and bring it to you for a reasonable fee.

Let us know how it turns out since I'm sure there will be others in the same situation.

Try U Ship.com!

I used them when I needed an American Legend trailer shipped from Minneapolis to Jasksonville. Cost was $465! It is a division of ebay. Shippers bid on your load just like bidding on Ebay. These guys will haul what ever you have!

Check it out!

I checked out UShip too but wasn't sure about the "whoever bids" part where you're not sure who will wind up shipping it.  Pretty sure you won't be getting any insurance on the move from someone you get to bring it to you unless they are established.

By all means make sure whoever brings it is fully insured for the whole value.

Really too bad about Bikeline...  Gas costs me over 4 bux down here but I always go to the few non-ethanol stations around here when I can to get the real 93 octane.  The other stuff costs just under 4.  Our whole economy is teetering on the brink while our gov overseers get high dollar hookers and hot tub sprees with nekkid wimin in Vegas, lifetime retirement and health care, etc.  Gas price is just one reason biz has a hard time making it these days.  Get ready for a wild ride.

Crap, I spewed politics in the forum... Sorry.
