« on: October 08, 2011, 08:29:08 AM »

Thought I would post a few photos from a trip to York, PA facility for our group that hasn't been there.

Each photo shows the process that they produce in the plant. Assembly, gas tanks, paint etc...

To the driveway!!!

No real big deal post but if you have never been there then maybe you learn what they do in York, PA. Wish I could have taken photos in the plant. I remember the dyno area and they ran the crap out of the bikes for about a minute or so to check brakes, cruise control and overall bike balance. Since these photos I understand that the CVO line today is not in a seperate building but are assembled right down the same production line as the non CVO bikes? I also remember that the CVO wheels and tires were balanced in the main plant and they had these red carts that would drive them back over to the CVO line.

Nice shots! Thanks for sharing. Did you get to see CVO's being assembled?

I did get the clearance to do so by a good friend who owns 5 HD dealerships BUT I was there in early August and the plant was under a time period they said no dealer tours were available?? Thinking back it would have been at a time when the bulk of new shipments were going out so no one on one CVO plant tours. But maybe another time. I would also like to go to the engine plant in Missouri sometime as well.
