Tour Pak Question
« on: October 09, 2011, 12:21:14 PM »

Finally got my settlement from UPS for my Tour Pak they cracked after Volski did such a great job painting.  Purchased another and am using the Air Wing Rack with LED Light on the top as well as the new HD wrap around LED tail light's that are on the newer CVO's.

My question is should I stay with the multicolor to match the bikes layout or paint this one solid Black Candy Crimson?

Let me know what you guys and gals think.

Thanks,

Chains

Either would look fine, but I like the scheme in the photo best.

I agree, I like the matching look.  At some point I plan to get mine painted to match & the trailer painted to match

That is a good question.  Jason was very up front and honest with me during the whole ordeal, so I am going to check with him and see if he is still super busy.  He did an outstanding job.  My issue is transportation damage.  Since he is too far from a Fed X to drop the tour pak off to return, my only other choice is to take it to him and pick it up when complete.

I also want to paint my trailer to match so I can kill two birds with one stone if he is interested in doing the job.  I have not had any contact with him since UPS ponyed up but I know he is a one man show and stays super busy.  For me to duplicate the workmanship here would cost a fortune, but I will do it here locally if he is not interested or too busy, I do not want to get into a situation of being set back due to heavy workload from his regular customers, even though I understand his situation.

My fear is even though local guys will be higher, they may not be as good, Jason's work was great.

May PM Chip, looks like he has a super guy near him that is also fast.

Haven't got the new one in my hands yet, should be here bu Friday I hope.  Paid extra for Fed X to avoid the UPS screw ups.

Last time I checked with Jason he stopped doing work for everyone other then his local dealers. Had some work I wanted done and only got as far as some design strategies.
Back to looking for someone who can match the Cherry bikes.

BTW, Jason is no longer a member here.

I know Jason dropped off the site, you have just confermed what I had been thinking that he is pretty much captive to the local dealers.  I don't blame the dealers a bit he is a true artist and they are lucky to have a guy like him to jump on the factory screwups for them.  OK, now the search will begin for a replacement.

I think both would look nice, but I lean toward the multicolor to match the bikes layout.
Very nice looking bike..

I'd go with reproducing the color scheme in your picture... that looks great!
