Ring compressors? How about wide zip ties.... Works on most anything and cost next to nothing.

Use Dolly Parton's bra and can probably get both cylinders at once.

also ive seen where a  straight 3/4' copper pipe fitting works well when the wrist pin clips are put in side the fitting at a angle then straightened up in it then place the fitting against the wrist pin and push the clip in to seat in the groove

That's my method!  Works like a charm.

Somewhere here, I've posted pictures of this...way back when...

Especially if you knife edge the end just a bit on the bench grinder before starting.  Have found that to be really effective with circlips especially.  Less so with spirolox.  Could be just me but those are more annoying to work with sometimes.

What is a ginormous pitfa, are the pan/shovel OEM retainers.

If you want to avoid the expense of a ring compressor, see if you can get a set of those 110 cylinders with the severe taper problem.  The taper will help you install the pistons and rings without the use of a compressor.
