Just a reminder- I almost lost my life yesterday morning, because I committed a "rookie" mistake. We left the house for a little 250 mile jaunt to lunch, and just prior to entering a slight curve, I decided that it was necessary to adjust my RH mirror. As I glanced back up at the road, I was over the center line, and meeting an oncoming pickup truck. I swerved hard right, and missed being hit head-on by about one-half to one second. No fault of the "other guy" at all- just me forgetting to focus on the task at hand. No matter how many miles you have on your butt; just one little moment of in-attention at the wrong time, can erase all of the postive experiences you've had over the years.
My wife saw the whole episode, and said the P/U driver had a look of horror on his face. To you Sir; I apoligize for being stupid. To her; Not gonna happen again..
Be careful out there......
