TTS Tuner Tips Needed
« on: October 18, 2011, 07:46:34 PM »

I just purchased a TTS tuner for my 2011 Ultra Limited and was looking for some tuning tips.  I have yet to load the new map into the bike.  I understand they use Lambda vs MV settings and was woundering if they should be tweeked like the MV settings were on my old 2006 dyna? Is it possible this is all adressed in the supplied map?  I am still doing a lot of reading before I flash the ECM.

Do your homework, or, get a dyno tuner involved who's familiar with TTS. Depending on your bike and it's mods, will determine what map to use.

before you flash your ecm be sure to download your map that is in the bike from the factory it is saved as a .mte file its not readable, but it might just save your bacon if you have to reset your ecm as it has the needed files in there.

The instructions included in the help files are pretty good, and will get you well on your way.  Read them through, then follow them step by step.  Setting the VE values is a piece of cake.  Getting rid of exhaust popping can take a few bouts of trial and error, but stick with it.  Help is available here and elsewhere.  When in doubt, go rich

?

Good advice. Especially since mt8 maps are in the default menu.
if you don't know what your doing and choose a mt8 file to load,if you haven't saved your original mte file you are screwed once the map is flashed. Start with a mt7 map until you get the hang of what your doing .

No need to waste time using an old .MT7. Use the current calibration for your bike combination and go from there. Takes no longer to Vtune with the newer .MT8 calibrations then the old ones and you would still need to do it over again to get the .MT8 dialed in
