A while back I posted that the dealership was for sale. A bunch on here doubted me. Now would be a GREAT TIME to stop by and meet the new CANADIAN OWNERS!!! A lot of the employees you have come to know and love are now gone!!!!! I TOLD YOU!!!! This deal has been in the works for a LONG TIME!!!! The new owners only own the business not the land or the building.

Yes it has been sold, and no it hasn't been in the works for a long time as you stated before...

That is unless Bruce Rossmeyer is reincarnated as a Canadian. :nixweiss: As I stated before when I asked the owner was his business for sale he told me that anything he owned was for sale other then his wife and kids but there was nothing in the works at that particular time... you can believe what you heard or you can believe what came from the "horses" mouth so to speak... myself I'll believe what came from the "horses" mouth on this one. As for him selling the business now I guess it was a situation where money talks and I guess he got an offer that he couldn't refuse, oh, and BTW he's got other business ventures he's pursuing. :2vrolijk_21:

DOOD the Canadian deal has been in the works for a while. I think he was smart to sell now while thigs are slipping. I also think it was a good move to keep the building and the property. Now if Bruce would have bought the business, I would be speechless!!!!

BTW Bruce did try to buy it back then FOR LITTLE OF NOTHING!!!!!

Don't know what you consider "a while" but I'm sure... well I know it has been several months as they did inventory a month or so ago which is usually done in January to prepare for the deal/sale. Buying a business with the kind of capital it takes to buy a dealership isn't done overnight. Oh... BTW... there was a delay in buying it but I guess you know about that too.

As far as Bruce trying to buy it... he may have made an offer... as you say "FOR LITTLE OF NOTHING"... but it was never considered as a legitimate offer.

DOOD just remember before any dealership can be sold it must go through and be approved by the Motor Company. Before you can be considered a buyer you must go through and be approved by the Motor Company. The Motor Company controls the dealerships. If you lose your Dealership for what ever reason, anything that says HARLEY DAVIDSON even the name on the front of the Dealership belongs to the Motor Company and cannot be sold. IMHO they have way tooooo much control.

I believe they own car dealerships! So we will see how long it will be business as usual. Three techs in the shop right now. One will be taking his southwest vacation as he has for the last few years and may return in the spring, the other 2 are recent MMI Grads!!!!
