7Jurock Windshield Problems
« on: October 29, 2011, 09:24:08 PM »

Based on recommendations from some folks on here I bought a 7Jurock windshield to replace the OEM I have on my 2011 Softail. I've noticed now that the reflection from the bike gauge is nearly blinding me at night and making it painful to see the road, is anyone else having this problem?

I have the same problem.  I would have to get a 17" instead of the 19"

Can you post a picture and what height windshield did you get?

This is not an uncommon problem, no matter the brand of bike, when the instrument is located on the tank console.  Dependent, of course, on how tall the windshield is.  This was a common thing on the Star (Yamaha) Stratoliner for those riders who needed a tall windshield.  The reflection would be right in the line of sight at night.  Solution:  fashion a "visor" for the front of the instrument that can be temporarily afixed to the console.  Tacky, but effective.

My solution; I picked this up at a dealer, sorry I don't remember the part number.  It is a stick-on as previously mentioned

That is great, I'll look for it when I take the bike in for service.

As a follow-up but related question, have any of you replaced your headlight with an LED or even considered installing the auxillary lamps? I've considered this to give me better lighting but wasn't sure how it would look.
