Maybe I can check the catalogue and see if mustang offers a back rest pad for tha passenger back rest.   I don't use it very often at all.  When my BSR rides with me, she likes a tour pack.   And she also wants the one with the arm rest this time.   Check book time again soon,  I can feel it.  :nixweiss:

another

Thanks for the info CVOSTU andfor the pictures. Its good to know that the Mustang riders saddle / back rest can be mated with the Mustang pillion seat and still be able to use the stock CVO pillion back rest without removing those strips.

I was out on the Black Beauty today and I honestly didnt find the lack of a riders back rest an issue, but that was only after 160 miles. I will need to get a riders back rest eventually for those long trips I am planning for the sunny summer days ( yes we do get a few days like that in the UK ).

Ahh.  That's really good to hear.  :2vrolijk_21: I like this Mustang seat a lot.  The backrest is perfect and has lots od adjustment.  Bur the seat is so comfortable. I wish I tried them on my 04.   I was always looking for the right seat for that bike.  Just found it.  I looked at the Corbin seats.   Seemed kind of hard to me.  You won't be disappointed with this seat.

CVOSTU .  Do you reckon that the Mustang riders solo saddle is of the same width as that of the HD supplied solo saddle. Just checking this as I am a bit on the short of leg rider. Inside leg is 29 inches. Do you think I would have any issues with that Mustang saddle please. The Harley saddle fits me perfectly, though it could be a slight bit narrower. Also is the depth ofthe saddle about the same as that of the HD saddle please?  Sorry to bug you with questions but I dont have the opportunity to actually see one of these saddles as in the UK we can only order in from the states and buyer beware.
Cheers and thanks.

The mustang seat might be slightly narrower.  It fits the bike just right.  The mustang seat might pick you up an inch or so. The seat is so comfortable you won't want to get off the bike.   You will love it!! :2vrolijk_21:

I know that feeling, I've got to have a tour pack for the wife, but I want to have just the pad for the every day short trips when I pick her up from work.  Once again, thanks for the pix and input! :dankk2:

Van,
Does the Corbin cover the chrome strips on the rear fender?

Looking at it again, I think he did.  ???   Stu, looking at that 3/4 view of your Mustang in the solo mode, it looks like the mounting posts are exposed behind the seat.  Is that correct?  Can you take a pic from the rear?

Why would he take those off?  I like them.  Yes, the mounting nuts are exposed behind the mustang seat.  I bought the nice chrome ones from mustang.  They don't look bad to me at all.  The rear seat attached to those and then a mounting screw in the rear.  I'll take  a pic shortly.  The game is about to start.   ;D

Maybe the Corbin passenger pad does not lock in with those strips on the rear fender. I know it has to lock in to the pin that screws on to the rear fender and maybe the strips don't let the seat get far enough down to make that happen?

Mike.  I had to remove the rubber bumpers that are rivited to the bottom.  Once those were removed, the seat fits flush on the strips. It came with a spacer that goes between the mounting tab and the fender for added protection. The thumb screw that came with the bike works fine back there.
