My New FLHRSE4
« on: November 04, 2011, 07:36:35 AM »

I just became the owner of a 2008 Screaming Eagle Road King 105th Anniversary with the Crystal Copper - Black Onyx paint. No 614 out of 1,800. I rode it to work today at zero dark 30 and about 35 F but I was grinning ear to ear.  I've been riding it a little but it's getting cold here in Lanter.  :pepper:

Here are a couple a pix.

It's good to ride!  :bananarock:

You've got a problem with your FatCat exhaust's muffler.  Most likely the clamp isn't tight enough and the muffler has "walked" back a bit under exhaust pressure.  Another possibility if the exhaust system is a few years old is a bad run of mufflers D&D had.  A few of us here had mufflers that wouldn't compress enough under their clamp no matter what.  And they'd walk back like that.  One walked back so far it actually came off the head pipe.

D&D was replacing the mufflers for awhile.  Enough time passed since that's not likely now though.  It's worth looking at on your bike.  Hopefully as simple a fix as loosening the clamp, shoving the muffler back forward and tightening the clamp very tightly again.

Already fixed. The pic is a few days old. Thanks. Glad you liked my bike.

Saw the same thing Twolanerider, I have a D&D, but mine is about 6 months old and have had no problems. I have a '08, Candy Cobalt & twilight blue w/ ghost flames. Love my ride, hope you enjoy yours as well.

Welcome to the FLHRSE4 Annie family !

I own #604. It has hard bags and I just put a Dragonfly fairing on it painted to match.
