Questions for those that put Wild 1 577 Bars on their SG
« on: November 05, 2011, 04:08:22 PM »

I finally settled on the Wild 1 577 12 1/2" Apes for my SG. I have scoured the net and it appears that I will need the following:

+6 brake line (master cylinder to ABS module)
+6 clutch line

It appears that i don't need to get extensions for the wiring harness nor for the TBW if I re-route the former under radio.

It is a '10 so no need for the one-piece clamp and I plan to get poly bushings.

My questions to any of you who have done this switch are 1) are my assumptions right on the line lengths and the re-route of the wiring?

Also, anything special I need to be aware of on the CVO?

Thanks for your help.

I could be wrong, but I vaguely remember something about heated grips

You are on the right track. You will also need the clutch line adapter so you can connect it to the clutch at the engine. Also need the banjo fittings for the brake and clutch lines, both ends, 4 total. No heated grips on the SG that I know of. I believe the clutch and brake lines both will be 70 inches. Don't know if that is +6 or not.
 Good luck.

Thanks guys. It doesn't look like too complicated a project so I'm looking forward to it.
