Installed TTS tuner, Question about stock file saved....
« on: November 05, 2011, 08:20:32 PM »

I installed the Fullsac stage one kit today and it went pretty smooth.  :2vrolijk_21: Question, I followed the directions and believe I did correctly save my stock settings which now show as a MTE file with a TTS DataMaster Icon which I cannot open, is this correct? I tried to open the file in Master Tune which does not recognize it? How do you get the stock flash back in the bike if you needed to?

Thanks in advance.

Go to your "help" files in the TTS, and look up "restore the MTE file" and also read the FAQ's..........
All your answers will be there.
The MTE factory calibration is a "restore" option only, you can't read it or do anything else with it.
I hope this helps.

Good information, I was wondering about that myself.

Now for the big question:

How did you like results of the stage one addition?
I have purchased the same for my 2011 SESG and will install it all in about two weeks when I get home. I am curious to see if it will be as impressive as I have been led to believe.

If you go to:
http://www.fullsac.com/sleeper-kit-110.html

there is information and Dyno charts showing the in-house testing on customer's bikes before and after.
Sometimes the map sent along with the parts may not work to your liking in your area, but, a quick call to Fullsac will solve that problem!
Service after the sale CANNOT be beat!
JMHO, of course!

Thanks Hogmike!
The reason I asked is when I installed the mastertune I followed the directions saving my factory setting, it showed as succesful. When I went to upload the map from Fullsac it asked me to save my factory setting which I had done already? I was concerned I may have messed that up but it seems I did it correctly.

Dumnernhell....I was able to get out this afternoon for a ride, the bike is runnning great! I am very happy with the Fullsac install and would recommend it for those considering an exhaust and fuel management upgrade. No doubt for the money it's a really nice option and having the tuner for any future upgrades is a huge bonus!! I bought the 2.0" baffles, they sound good, deep tune, not very loud, neighbor friendly. The heat from the cat is gone, bike is running smooth with a noticable power increase, no regrets. :2vrolijk_21:

What happens if your laptop dies, can you just reinstall on another laptop?

Yeah the TTS is bound to the ECM, not the laptop.
You probably want to store your factory map on a USB stick or something though.  If you only saved it to your laptop and the laptop died, it would be a pain in the butt to get the factory map back again (assuming the hard drive wasn't the problem).

Like Kerb says, back it up somewhere.  I have it on both my Laptop and my Desktop hard drives.  I also copied both the stock file and the Fullsac file to a CD.

Not only will you notice a seat of the pants improvement in performance, you will also notice a difference in drivability with regards to throttle response.  Or at least I did...mine runs so well with the canned map, I don't think it could be improved much with a Dyno Tune.

East Coast, I am also very happy with the Fulsac stage one kit.(map, 1.75 baffles, non cat header, HD high flow air cleaner) Runs perfect, no dyno, no pinging even in the desert, and still good mileage. I will leave it like it is unless something breaks then maybe change out to the Andrews 54 cams.CAHDBIKER

Agreed, I've been down the motor work road with my other bike and have no regrets but this one runs just fine with the Fullsac upgrade.  :2vrolijk_21:
