I just emailed Jim at custombilletworks.com and he is willing to make up the screamin eagle name plates and the eagle head logo but they had tried chrome and it did not work out to well . he recommends doing it in a nickle plate finish . He needs to know how many people would like one of these before he can estimate a cost as he would have to tool up. Just putting this out there and you can email him and let him know that you are interested depending on cost.Just let him Know you are a member of this CVO site.

Chevy

I sent an email to Jim saying I'm interested if price is right and sent him a picture of emblem posted in here. Also I wanted to look at what I was buying. I searched and ordered a decal in Chrome Mirror, 3/4" tall, 10" Long, Screamin'Eagle, Right Slant in Chicago Font for $10.50 plus $6.95 shipping from http://www.edecals.com/custom_decal_designer/instant_sticker_designer.html. Should get in the mail today or tomorrow. Will post a picture of it when I get it. I really don't want a decal, would rather it be billet but figured I can always put it on my truck, toolbox, or forehead if I want. :D Didn't see the font of the one Danner55 has but it is close. :2vrolijk_21:

I some cases decals are fine, especially if you get them clear coated over.  Have seen it done on Triumphs being restored and it turns out smooth to the touch.  Billet though would be noce, count me in for a billet one.

Duane, I responded to Jim at custom Billet works by email as Chevy instructed to do in his post. I would be more interested in a billet lettering over decals or sticker but for $17 I decided to order one from http://www.edecals.com/custom_decal_designer/instant_sticker_designer.html for kicks! :D If it's not that bad I will throw it up on my scooter and see how it looks from there. If it is something that others may be interested in then I would be glad to post again what size and font I used to make the decal. It's pretty cool to play with and make your own.

As far as taking and running with it, I have no problem doing that but I really didn't see any discount when I entered quantity 1 or 100. It would be easier if you just ordered yours direct instead of shipping twice. Plus you may want a different font or letter size. As far as the custom billet shop, I will wait for a reply from Jim and will post here what I hear. Chevy was the one who got the ball running on it and I gave it a push! ;D :2vrolijk_21:

If there is sufficient interest in a laser cut or CNC machined version of this I may be interested in producing some. I own a CNC machining business and have done some similar parts. We are production oriented and can't set up to run small quantities and be able to compete with a vinyl shop or the Chinese but if the quantity is right I can make it happen; won't be for $17 though, quality comes at a price. We typically use stainless steel and either polished it or apply a brushed finish. It could be made from aluminum, the common "billet" material, and chromed but that is a more tedious process with all the edges to maintain.

I would personally want it a touch smaller...
Had something similar on my detach pack on my 08 StreetGlide.  Was always asked where I got it from SG owners...

Well, I got the decal in today and it was smaller than expected then I saw the section right above on the LED light. Figured what the hay, if I don't like it I can peel it off. After I put it on it wasn't that bad looking. I want the chrome Billet piece if we can get it down to around $125. If not I will go this route for now. Pictures are kinda crappy. Will see what it looks like in the morning sun! ;D

JR,

I like the decal!  Can you advise size and font you used?  I plan to put it in the same spot.

JR,
That looks good!!
After going through the sizing process, what size would you go with for the original location?
Thanks,
Rick

Here ya go Pete! Just hit the link and write in box Screamin'Eagle (I went with no space between Screamin' and Eagle) in Chrome Mirror, 3/4" Tall, 10" Wide, Right Slant in Chicago Font! It cost me $17.45 shipped. :2vrolijk_21: Don't know how long it will last but I like it. Would like to do something to seal it if I could to prevent it from peeling in the future but hey, for under $20 I can throw another on on! :D

Not really sure Rick. I used 3/4" tall and the "g" in Eagle was the only one 3/4". I would go at least 1" -1 1/4" if you use the Chicago font. Personally, I would not have used this on the painted area after getting it. There is no thickness to it. I would go with Chrome Billett if they can get price down to $125. Just so happened when I looked up and saw the light I thought I'd try it there and like it! :nixweiss: :2vrolijk_21:
