Very Torn! Need Help!!!
« on: November 06, 2011, 09:10:17 AM »

Back four months ago I totaled my 2004 Black and Orange Seeg with 23,000 miles on her in perfect condition and just they way I wanted her! I'm in the process of looking for a replacement for her and I'm torn on looking for same bike or a 2011 orange and black street glide ? I have until spring to find one but don't want to miss some great bike's for sale now ! Looking for guy's like you that have gone from a 2004 Seeg to a 2011 street glide and would like to hear your opinion's ? Thank's HDNUT

There was a frame change in '09. I wouldn't be looking at anything before that.

If I was in your shoes, it would be 2011 SESG all the way.

I went from an 04 SEEG to a 10 SESG.  If you go back in the archives, you'll see where I posted that I might have buyers remorse and miss my ol SEEG.....but it just hasn't happened.

I kept my SEEG for awhile after getting my SESG but it just never got rode anymore.  The new chassis (frame), ABS brakes, etc. make it a non issue.  Giving up the tractor for the new sports car was much easier than I expected it to be. :2vrolijk_21:

I traded my 04 pumpkin for the 2012 SEUC and I agree totally with JC.  My 05 Cherry is doing a lot of sitting in the garage.  Get the 2011!

I did exactly the same thing in 2001 with a blue & silver Road Glide Screamer. I had a 95th Anniversary Ultra that I had personalized and I was extremely attached to that machine. After riding my new Screamer, I opened the garage door and threw rocks at my old Ultra.

I love my 06 but if anything ever happens to it I would go to the newer bike.

I agree you would be crazy NOT to buy a 2009 or newer touring bike. So much more to offer, new frame, ABS brakes, just to mention a couple.
