Road Glide Windscreen Help
« on: November 13, 2011, 12:12:59 AM »

11' CVO Road Glide - Currently using a 8" Klock Werks and need more protection.  What brand /height do you like for your glide?

I was looking at Clearview then seen a note saying the GPS mount may have to be modified for bikes that have OEM GPS mounts installed - Anyone have a 11', using the GPS with a Clearview?

I currently run a clearview std light smoke works great about the same height as stock but sits a little closer to me than the stock one and has the curved lip at  the top i'm 6' tall BSR has no problem with it only issue I have had is the black mask at the bottom has wrinkled and looks ugly they sent me a replacement decal so gonna put that on next summer will get something a bit shorter next year for the real hot weather GPS is not a problem with this one I'm on a FLTRUSE 2011

I'm running a Cee Bailey's Cee Glide in light smoke tint.  13" height.  I'm 5'8" and this works well for me.  Aircraft quality shield, and it comes with their superior well nuts to mount with.  Bottom black part is painted on, so no worries there.

I have the Harley contoured 12 inch dark one, I think they call it the streamer or something like that. Don't know if you care what I say after I helped you with the Arnott shocks that I read you wern't crazy about but I wish I had gotten the 14 inch instead . Don't have any buffeting but has a little too much wind noise and I notice if I put my head down a little there is much less noise.

I have the 18.5" F4 windshield in tint.  I'm 5' 11" with 32" inseam.  I usually look through it, which I prefer.  I prefer having a Polycarborate windshield than a acrylic one.   The acrylic ones scratch easily and can shatter.

The following to my knowledge have polycarbonate windshields:

I'm running the screen that came with it.  6ft 4in tall, and it works fine for me.

10" H-D Windsplitter. ("tinted" -- but it's REALLY a light tint) It's scooped at the sides, extends beyond the fairing slot and out to the mirrors. Leans back more then the standard shield, it won't clear the tri-pocket storage or some GPS mounts. Top edge is turned up and works like a spoiler to route wind over the head. I can hear the radio now, at 70 mph, and less buffeting/noise at speed. Basically it brings the shield back to surround the rider better, which reduces noise and buffeting. I'm still looking over the top for the most part.

the best way to see what height windsheild you need is to sit on bike. put yard stick on your head and measure down to the top of your radio.

I am running a clear 14" cee bailey on my 09SERG. I had a dark tinted one but you had to look too far out for quick tight turn roads and I found myself hitting potholes and the such I never even saw? That's why I went with the clear. I am 6ft tall and have a corbin dual tour seat if that helps. Now I have been reading about this Madstad adjustable windscreen and people on the road glide forum are saying allot of good things about it.

Same bike......really depends on your height?  I am 5'7" and I had the Cee Bailey 13" which I thought had a lot of wind noise.  I put the 12" Windsplitter by HD, it looks good and does the job for me and my height.  Good luck, but only consider the opinions of someone your size with the same or similar bike.  Oh, by the way, Klockwerks has a different pitch, I had their 12" on my 2007 RG and at 80MPH I had issues with my helmet or buffeting?

Hi there, I'm 6ft 2" so I went with a V Stream tall one. Fab Screen for me as I can see over it, and get no wind worthwhile and no buffeting. Seems better than the HD one and does a really good job at keeping wind and rain off you.

14 inch Windvest shield, I am 5 ft 7 inches and it works great.  My friend is 6 foot 2 inch and has the 16 inch shield.
