Cold

Now that its getting colder and rainier, the SERK wont be used all the time. Do you guys recommend a trickle charger setup or something that will keep this monster charged during the rainy months?

Battery Tender Plus. It has a microprossesor built in to keep your stuff monitored properly. I have 3, they work awesome.  :2vrolijk_21:

My bike is hooked up to a Battery Tender every time it's parked in my basement.  Run a SAE pigtail off your battery (it it's not already there) and just plug in when you get home.  It's the life of your battery.

It's usually a dealer installed thing...I'm unsure if the new bikes come from the factory with it installed, but I know they didn't in '07.  My '11 came with it, but the dealer might have put it on.... :nixweiss:  When I was looking over the bike deciding whether to purchase, I asked about it and the sales guy said "yea, it's right here (pointing to where the pigtail is)".

Both my '10 and '11 came with it....and they came from 2 different dealers so maybe it's factory installed??? Or part of PDI??

It really doesn't matter. The Battery Tender Plus comes with 2 pigtails. 1 for hard wiring to you're bike (battery), and 1 with clips for universal or a temporary connection. Hope this helps.

X2, and I'll add it's a "very long" life of your battery.
