louder horn
« on: November 19, 2011, 04:54:53 PM »

Does anyone know of a louder horn to replace the stock horn, NOT COVER, but the plastic unit under the cowbell.
I replaced the cowbell with a chrome eagle with the led light, now the horn sounds terrible.  I made sure the cover wasn't touching but I must have done something to screw it up .  If it is broke I would like to replace it with a louder one.

You might check out Metal Arts... http://www.metalartsinc.com/motorcycle%20air%20horns/accesories.htm

I have this on the way... 139 decibel, self-contained, plug-in air horn with a flamed chrome cover:

They also have this Magnum Cow Bell air horn... 139 decibels, too... the cow bell on it is much bigger than the stock H-D cowbell:

I sprayed som wd-40 in the horn and it works like it did before.  I'll probably go to a louder horn next spring.

Not for everyone, but I like the shape. This horn is fairly loud.
