The hubby is looking at this windshield for a Christmas present. Any comments on this would be appreciated. Thanks.
Chicky...Any windshield is not a "one size fits all" proposition. It all depends on your height, and how you sit on the bike as to what size you need. Ideally, when sitting on the bike in your "normal" riding position, you need to be able to see a point on the ground about 50' in front of the bike while looking OVER the top of the windshield. The windshields with the recurve at the top, on a Batwing fairing, work best, IMO. Unless the HD version happens to be the right height, I'd look elsewhere. All the ones mentioned thus far are good...I'd also add Clearview and Windvest in the mix. Unless you're going really short on the windshield, get a light smoke tint so you can see through it when you need to...like at night. The Dark Smoke is meant to be used if you like a short windshield that you never have to look through. Looks good, but not as functional as the proper height.
Most of the vendors have instructions on how to properly measure. It'll be kind of hard to surprise him with this though.
