China wants everyone to make sure we know where the Harley Products come from. If it was not for the fact that I have been buying these for 20 years I would send it back.

You would probably be surprised at how many parts on our H-D's that are made outside of the USA.

Sign o' the Times... H-D, like nearly all other U.S. companies, offshores manufacturing to reduce labor costs. Period. American union workers have been pricing themselves out of jobs for a long time now. Sad, but true... American laborers simply cannot compete with all of the poorly-paid Chinese workers in the sweatshops over there... and there are hundreds of millions of them wiling to provide that cheap labor, just to have a job.

Offshoring of American manufacturing will prove be the downfall of this great country... probably before too long. I've been saying this for well high 20 years now...

However, if I were a H-D stockholder, I would want the MoCo to be doing everything they can to reduce costs and improve financial performance... and it's the stockholders and bondholders that any corporation is ultimately responsible to... not the customers...

(sigh)

One day in the far future, 50 yrs or so, China will nationalize all foreign companies plants and assets. Glad I won't be around to see it.
