Giving or paying forward
« on: November 28, 2011, 07:09:38 PM »

After reading the Christmas Wish List I thought I would share this with you.

Every year around this time we watch for somone that could use alittle help in our town and put a 100 bucks in a Christmas card and say hope this helps with your Christmas. We don't put a return address so they dont know where it came from. This year going to go to a grocery store and maybe pay for someones groceries.

Anybody have any other ideas. THIS SURE MAKES OUR CHRISTMAS neat.

Have a great pre season. Git the shopping done guys and gals.

Just saw on the local news tonight someone put 35 one hundred dollar bills in the Salvation Army kettle at the local Walmart. Very nice.

My wife and I donate $1,000 a year at Christmas time to Koinonia, home for troubled teens. We catch he'll from many friends that think we are throwing money away to a lost cause but they don't understand the joy we feel when we see these kids (most of them) turn their life's around. In fact we are good friends, and ride many miles together, with a young man saved by Koinonia and now manages one of Sacramento's In n Out Burger restaurants.  This guy is class and all he needed was a liitle bumb in the right direction and Koinonia blessed him with that.  :2vrolijk_21:
