JR to me looks like he has been chillin of some agricultural product for years.

Just watched 2 hrs of Jessie James The Blacksmith, 28 degrees outside and a bit nippy for a ride.
JJ went to Israel fo learn from one of the Best Blacksmiths in the world. Now he is back home in Austin, TX incorporating some of that into a new bike that incorporates a 1937 Water Cooled Drake Knucklehead V-twin.
If you manage to watch part 2 of the show, youi can see what it looks like. Really too bad he didn't use something like this in the Biker Buildoff.

New Jesse James TV Show On History Channel. Jesse James Blacksmith.

To me jesse is a normal dude,as a matter of fact senior and junior act just like FAMILY . I know we have all been around bikes a long time (most of us) If you think about all the people we come across in this culture ,there are a lot of people that act just like them  :o the people we know just arent AMPLIFIED on TV so you dont notice it as much. Most  of the BIKERS I know are LOUD , COCKY , CRAZY and its not an act they have acted like this for years
Its just part of are culture  :coolblue:
Everyone has there reasons to ride HARLEYS  every Harleys different and every person is different THATs what makes it KOOL   jus my opinion

By the way JESSE 'S bike was the BEST

Was hard for me to vote for JJ, just too much trash talk. OCC and Discovery opened and or spawned the the recent chopper interest from the casual public. IMHO.So the custom themes that Jr builds are what they are, they found a niche and have been able to so far make a go of it.I can't really believe OCC still uses Jason Poole. Rick has said time and time again he gets his drawings mixed up with what can really work in the real world. And why didn't Sr enter the horse bike they just completed. Wow that was the worst thing I think I ever seen.

I was in a meeting with Sr in May, and I would say he didn't look that good.
I was at a function with him on 9/11, and I would say he looked pretty good. Actually much better then in the recent shows or in person.

What's the connection porthole ? You do business with these folks in some capacity ?

That being said, I am still trying to find somebody who rides, or knows of somebody who rides an OCC "production" bike. There's what 14,000 people on this website ? And every time I ask all I get is stories about people having seen one of the televised theme bikes. What gives. Do these guys actually make motorcycles for mass market ? As to quality. I know a guy who had a JJ bike. The frame broke in 1/2 as we were riding from San Juan Capistrano to Oceanside on I-5. The whole bottom section broke in two between the engine and trans and sagged enough that it was blowin sparks all over everywhere. Probably the only thing that saved my friend was the primary case. Had he had an open primary, the whole thing most likely would have broken in two with pieces of motorcycle and human flesh everywhere. For the record - - JJ Inc never made good on it. Take what you will from this story, those are the facts.

That just plane sucks.  He should back his products.  Considering the cost of the equipment, it should be first rate...kinda like our CVOs...yuk, yuk.

Not much of a connection. OCC was the host sponsor for the IAFF MG 9/11 Tribute Rally (IAFF MG = International Association of Fire Fighters Motorcycle Group). I am the 1st District Coordinator for the group, New York & New Jersey.

The IAFF had approached OCC for a tribute bike for 9/11.
The 325K price tag was too much. Even after much hankering, the 125K price was too much. Biker Law was brought in as a sponsor for the bike.
The picture below was during the private screening. As I said prior, he looked pretty good during this weekend.

If you saw the build on TV then you saw that this 9/11 Tribute Bike was really not one at all, just some paint graphics on the rear fender. Very disappointing for me.

So that "was" my connection and I do not do any business with them. Wouldn't buy anything in the store either.

I appreciate what OCC did for the 9/11 but that is about it.

You have to keep in mind, your not paying 325K for a motorcycle, your paying 325K for 40 minutes of prime time commercial, that just happens to include a motorcyle

I guess you're right about that.

That point is made during the discussions. Makes it easier to see why some of the companies that you have seen featured would even have a motorcycle

Also explins why some companies will pay $325k for a bike designed by Poole that is basically a similar bike to his last dozen, except it has "cool" company logo graphic and colors painted in plus maybe a custom breather, with their logo. Milking that cash cow....
