Awsome news my friend! This grandparent thing is a blast to say the least. You are in for a treat with that kid, your life will change for the better as you share life with a grandchild. My grandson call's us HARLEY GRANDMA and HARLEY GRANDPA! The grandaughter can't talk yet, but the wife has her all decked out like a biker. We have learned so much in the raising of our kids that grandparenting is second-nature to us. You are the lucky man this week! Enjoy, and we will ride sometime. Wrongway

Thanks for all your encouraging words everyone! Yesterday I was reading to the baby what some of you wrote. I thought he was sleeping but when I read him what 2lane said, he smiled. ;D Then when I told him Q says Hello, his eyes opened up wide, I was like...woo! Then his little arms started shaking and feet were kicking, then this awful painful look came on his face. I called my wife over, I was scared. She said Lil Jack is OK, just a little gas!!! Whew!! [smiley=nervous.gif]

Tell John David hello from PACKER country,  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] believe me grandkids are the greatest, like Joe says after you spoil them and every thing else they go home. I just wish there was a way to have grandkids without having kids first (just kidding kind of) The best thing my four year old grandson said to me was after he was acting up a little I showed him my fist and said you want some of this, he looked at me and asked "you want a piece of me gwandpa, bring it on"  i don't think i ever laughed so hard. My plans were to go to Cripple Creek but decided to wait since the due date was the 23rd of June. Figured I will be in Maggie Valley in October, God willing! A sacrifice well received.

Debbie and I was waiting with family for John David to arrive and I realized how blessed I am. We prayed in the waiting room that they would not have to do a cesarean. I praised God for allowing me to live long enough to see his birth. My father passed before seeing any grandchildren. As important and joyous this day is I asked God if I may see a more important day. That would be John Davids second birth, the day he nails down his salvation for all Eternity! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

What a reminder to see the miracle of creation and how we take so much of God's Blessings for granted. As we get ready to celebrate the birthday of this great nation may we first remember what made us so great. Second, may you pray to God that he brings revival to this wonderful country of ours!

Thanks for allowing me to share my joy with you. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] Here are a few pictures of the new Joy in our life.

I thanked God that I was able to see the birth of my grandson. As YOU know and have experienced, there is NO guarantee on what tomorrow brings. Our days on this earth are numbered and only God knows what day will be our last. As a believer in Christ I now see the bigger picture of eternal life in heaven with Christ Jesus. Thru his promise we will inherit eternity and enjoy and understand the true meaning of love, joy, and happiness!

We live in a world that is corrupt with sin but a day will come when there is NO sin. Judgement is the LORDS. All evil and wickedness will have it's eternity in hell, and all who trust in the Lord will escape His wrath and inherit eternity in heaven thru the atonement sacrifice Jesus made for our sins. Thru the inheritance of what Christ did on the cross at Calvary, we can have hope in a world that we live in.

Brother, in your circumstance and a believer in Christ, you can rest assure you will see your grandson again! We lost a child to a tubular pregnancy and I believe we will see that child in heaven! God's Love and Peace be with you!

Congatulations JR and family.  Hey I've got one for ya.  We too just had our first grandchild, Kaitlyn, five months ago and now my wife is four months pregnant!  My wife is 41, and the Doctors attributed her symptoms to her gall bladder.  After two months of testing, including ultrasound, they scheduled surgery only to call her up two days before surgery to tell her she was pregnant.  We are now elated after the initial shock wore off.  Just goes to show that God does have a sense of humor.  I'll keep you posted.
