Here's a shot of my compensator bolt, 74 miles after I picked the bike up new.  Sounded like a lifter, felt no rumble at all, but was quite surprised when I got home.  My dealer was out with a flatbed within 2 hours.  Owner told me this was the second time he's seen this.

Can't believe you didn't detect a problem. Ive seen this happen last summer when a customer rode his 08 Ultra into the dealership I was visiting. The guy had a real bad vibration at idle and low RPM and the service tech quickly pointed out a bulge in his primary case stating his compensator was coming apart. His wasn't as bad as yours but it was working too it..   You must have had a beer Friday built bike...  :'(

The torque wrench, along with the Loctite, were left in the toolbox............. :'(

Last time I had my primary open, I added one of these.  "Compensator Nut Lock"
Cheap piece of mind.
