Has anyone heard of -- or know how to determine - if there are wheel deals (and mounting) at Daytona Bike Week in March? Thnx in advance, (Such as RC or Rampage.)

Yes. Most of the major suppliers (PM, Renegade, etc.) have deals with tires already mounted on rims and installation on site. They will also ship your old wheels and tires back to you.

I have been to Daytona and Sturgis for several years, and asked many times about wheels, Have yet to find a good deal on wheels other than free installation. Which I can do myself in about a hour. So that's no bargain.

I have bought custom wheels for several prior bikes and alwasys found the manufactrers willing to deal now, in December. Call them directly, all they can do is so no.

I got a good deal on PM wheel package I ordered at Daytona last spring. About 12% off the regular package price shipped to the house, and no tax.

In a lot of the cases, prices are cheaper towards the end of a rally. A few years ago I priced a transmission for my bike on the 1st or 2nd day of Daytona and decided to leave it go. 2nd last day I was walking passed the same booth and the salesperson recognized me from earlier. Said if I still wanted it done he'd knock off another $500.00. I guess this will all depend on supply at hand and how busy they were the first 4 or 5 days.
