Well, that is great news because that is what I wanted to do originally. Will a re-tune still be neccessary after the Fullsac upgrade? Also, can you get a marked improvement in performance over the factory exhaust system similar to a complete new exhaust such as Bassani and re-tune?
The stock reverse flow core is very restrictive and easy to improve upon with a straight through 1.75 louvered replacement. Honestly never had a CVO Softail
in my shop to quote any before and after dyno numbers. I have to assume they have a cat in the headpipe too? Like the CVO Baggers, high flow mufflers
only behind a restrictive cat will only yeild 2-3 HP. While a good tune will help even a stock bike, its not mandatory if the cat is still left behind to hold things up.
If you looking for a nice performance gain, cut the cat, high flow cores and a competent dyno tuner will get you 10 HP quick.
