[Fullsac Performance]

Well, that is great news because that is what I wanted to do originally. Will a re-tune still be neccessary after the Fullsac upgrade? Also, can you get a marked improvement in performance over the factory exhaust system similar to a complete new exhaust such as Bassani and re-tune?

The stock reverse flow core is very restrictive and easy to improve upon with a straight through 1.75 louvered replacement. Honestly never had a CVO Softail
in my shop to quote any before and after dyno numbers. I have to assume they have a cat in the headpipe too? Like the CVO Baggers, high flow mufflers
only behind a restrictive cat will only yeild 2-3 HP. While a good tune will help even a stock bike, its not mandatory if the cat is still left behind to hold things up.
If you looking for a nice performance gain, cut the cat, high flow cores and a competent dyno tuner will get you 10 HP quick.

If the cats are in the mufflers, they will simply slide out with the OEM baffle. Remapping would be a real good plan at this point.

I'va also had great results with a modified SE muffler. on my 08 Springer the baffles of a SE set were opened up a bit and they replaced the standard set in the OEM cans. Works a treat, and sounds great. Combined with an Andrews 54 cam and SE tuner we got 104Hp / 121 Tq. I believe the springer cans are very similar to the Conv, so I'd say you have every chance of the same thing working for you.

Do you know what size baffles were used with your SE mufflers?

When you say the size of the baffle, i guess you are referring to the inside diameter of the muffler can? In my case the i.d is 79mm / 3.1" (sorry its all metric for me). Really though, all that matters is the i.d of your cans V's the i.d of the SE Muffler can. If you do go down this path, you should modify the SE baffle a little, its needs opening up a bit, in its standard form it will be un necessarily restrictive. Well,the Bassani's have been installed and all I can say is WOW! I really love the look.They are a little louder than I like but the sound is incredible. The bike will be tuned this week and hopefully we should see some good results.

Good work, looks great. Yup they are loud, they wont seem so loud after a while. (once they damage your  ear drums a bit) . LOL,

I have never owned a set of Bassani's but always thought they looked great. Your picture proves that, it looks great. They give your bike a kind of drag bike/hot rod racey look. Mostly I like they are different from what most others are using.
