Is there a decent alternative that allows you to remove the license plate bracket below the tour pack.  I haven't looked at it real closely, but it appears there are a couple bolts that tie into the tour pack bracket that hold it in place? I  would like to find something simnpler, and maybe open that space up which would make it easier to clean the top part of the fender too?

On the Ultra Classics (assuming it's the same for the Road Glide Ultra Classics) it also helps to hide the exterior amp mounted under the tour pack. :nixweiss:

You're right, JC...I did put a Billet LP frame on my '06, but decided I'd just stick with the plain chrome one the dealer put on this bike with their name on it and save that $60 bucks.  Plus, with the TP moved back 1.5" I don't notice it as much.  My medication must be working...my OCD is not as bad on this bike.   :huepfenlol2:

Not a huge deal, my OCD is still alive and well!  You cant get top scews in the oem unit unless you take the thing off and put the plate frame on and then bolt the bracket on again.  Pain in the butt for something you really can't see unless your OCD

Yea, you're right about the screws.  The HD Billet frame has hidden screws, so it appears to be "holeless" from the outside.  It's a nice piece.  If somebody gave me one, I'd put it on there for sure.  It cleans up the area a bit.

Are you in on the Billet Screamin' Eagle script deal a lot of us are doing?  The back of the bike needs a little something, IMO, so that's what I've decided to spend my money on.

Haven't really given it much thought.  Cold up here now, so I have been doing little things like chrome trunk hinge covers, exhaust bracket covers, hot toppers (knock offs), I got the 2.25 baffles that I need to install, windshield trim and windshiel...lots of little low cost items that will keep me busy here and there unitl spring?  I had the Anderson tour pack relocator on my last bike, I may just try and figure something simple out to move the tour pack back an inch or so?  Can't understand why HD would make it such a tight fit.  I may put speaker pods in the lowers too this winter?

Here's a link to the whole thread:  http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=68418.0  If you want one, you better get in on it now, as he is about to order material and start production.  Should be a nice piece for the rear end.  The Lumbar support on the new backrest is what takes up the room.  I put the GA TP relocator on mine and moved it to the 1.5" holes...perfect for my BSR.  I use the lowers on mine for stowing small things, so I put the HD Magnetic Doors on to make it easier to get in and out of the boxes.  They work great!  I've looked at the bracket covers and may do those over the winter.  I'm trying not to go overboard with trinkets on this bike...after all, it already has everything on it  ::) :huepfenlol2:

I couldn't find anything I liked with a fender mount when I removed my tour pack so I went with this

http://www.nativecustombaggers.com/index.php/license-plate-mount-for-2-into-1-exhaust-61.html

even though the link says 2 into 1, its not, they do make one of those though.

The bracket just replaces the rear muffler brace thats under the saddlebag. I put a chrome frame with LED light to make it compliant and I like the look of it with the fender clean.

The same parts in Alberta CANADA dealership with tax, $ 1176.20, no gouging going on here.  :soapbox: I have the bill to prove it. Any wonder why people want to shop across border!  :nixweiss:  :pumpkin:
