Cure for falling tour pak lid liner!!!
« on: December 19, 2011, 08:48:18 PM »

Found a cure for loose tour pak lid liner, thanks to Harley. We all know the velcro doesn't hold the liner up but I found the solution when I was poking around a 2012 FLHTCUSE7; HD now uses three plastic clips on the outer most edges of the liner. Drove my parts guy crazy but we found them. Part #10120, it is so simple it is genius. Here are some pics from my bike hope this helps anyone with this problem. Total cost less than $2.00

Good idea.  :2vrolijk_21:   I would have done this if known a couple years ago.. But I stayed with the Velcro route and bought a $30 roll of the 3M version and never had any problems with unsticking.  thanks for the tip.  :2vrolijk_21:

Why did the MOCO change to this? The Velcro problem has not been a problem for 20 years, and they are already listening to our complaints on this.

Don't think anyone's crying.  The guy is just merely trying to help us all out with a known issue.
Merry Christmas to you too!!

I sure hope the SteveO that posted this, is not the same SteveO that is on the HD forum. There is a SteveO on that site that I have watched post crap for several years. The SteveO on that forum does NOTHING but cut down everyone on the site and has NOTHING good to say about Harley and the MOCO. He does NOTHING but praise the Honda he loves. So PLEASE tell me these are two different people with the same screen name!!!  Have never figured out why the guy keeps a Harley in his garage or why he doesn't stay on Honda sites. People on the HD forums have asked the guy to leave many, many times.
