I was upset because they wouldn't hurry and plow Tioga Pass.  17 degrees low that morning. Had to ride north to Tahoe and took Monitor Pass. Hit a patch of ice in the shadows of the road. Had to throw my underwear away. Would have polluted all of Yosemite if they'd opened Tioga Pass that day.

Get your "Motor Running Head", out on the highway!

What we've got here is... failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach. So you get what we had here last week, which is the way he wants it... well, he gets it. I don't like it any more than you men

Okay I admit I don't use a kick start like the guys in the video. It wasn't an option. If I knew there'd be snow I'd have had Jim put one on.

I'll pass on riding in ice. Those guys on the Ice Road are nuts. Can't reason why anyone would want to subject themselfs to those elements. :nixweiss:

For the thrill of adventure! :2vrolijk_21:   But then......some people feel that way about riding motorcycles at all in any element. :nixweiss:  Goes back to "if I had to explain.....you wouldn't understand". :P

Then again.......I don't think the ice road bikers had the heated gear, so I'm with you on wondering "what were they thinkin". :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:

We took a different route that was supposed to be less risky. Still saw ice in some areas on the shoulder of the road and the foggy areas were much colder. Worried me as to whether the shiny spots were icy or just wet. The other risk was when my face shield kept fogging up in the foggy areas. (Even used anti-fog treatment)

Not so bad if prepared, better traction than on the road.
It is a blast! Not that I would put the Hog out there but you know, we have to do something in the winter.
