I think I am leaning the same as mjb.  I think the benefits are like splitting hairs.  I'm gonna leave well enough alone for now or until it is nesseccary to crack into the motor.  I'm going to do the 54's, x pipe and 2" cores with a tts. I'm really impressed with the 110 right out of the box.  Can't wait till Fulsac is in there.  :2vrolijk_21:

My stuff will be here next week Stu...good luck with your work and let me know how it turns out since I won't be able to ride until spring. Still have to do some front suspension and audio mods. Not to mention this whole winter sucks for riding thing.....

I was also wondering about the head gasket swap. I just ordered the Andrews cams and decided against disturbing the heads. I know the common opinion is to do it, but I am not crazy about the idea of removing the heads and risking any movement of the barrels which would cause a base gasket leak. Am I reading correctly that this has NEVER happened to anyone that did these gaskets??  Not one single oil leak developed???  If that happens and the MoCo sees aftermarket head gaskets they could very easily deny any warranty repair for the oil leak......Maybe I am being overly cautious but I can't get that thought out of my mind......

I had V-Twin Specialties here in Wichita install my head gaskets and Andrews cams.  Runs flawlessly and have not had a single problem!   Just Do it!!!

Swapped out my 1.75 to 2.0 cores last night and really can't tell much of a difference in sound.  Maybe a little deeper tone but that's about it.
Looks like the last day of my riding season as 3-6" of snow on the way.

What do most of you do with the base gaskets (O-rings) when replacing the head gasket?  Do you leave them and try not to disturb the cylinders or pull the cylinders and replace the o rings?  I've done it once, each way, on two different bikes and had no leaks either time.  The first time I didn't know any better and just left them, the second time I pulled the cylinders and replaced the o rings, both times were leak free but I just wondered what do most do?
