I found this trip video on another forum and wanted to share with you all. This was a trip from Dallas TX. to the top of the world by one man on a road glide. 80 min long but very well done!!!

Thanks for the link, Its worth the time it takes to watch the video. The video gives me the fever to get the bike back on the road and off to the moutians for some summer ridin.

I too was inspired to get back out on the road! I have not had a good long road trip in a few years now. I had kind of lost the yearn to travel. After I watched his video I knew I need to be out on the road. I love that feeling and don't mind traveling alone. My 01 trip to Sturgis alone was one of the best road trips I've had!. I am making plans for a 2 week trip in July!!! I am excited again!

I havn't ever traveled a long distance solo before, not sure if its my thing or not. I hope I have the opportunity to take a two week trip by myself in the next 25 years or so.
Up to this point my travels have always included a BSR or group of real good friends.
Always great trips and very enjoyable but nothing like traveling by myself for a couple of weeks.

Unfortunately my past experience with traveling with groups has been slow moving. Seems like it takes forever to get anywhere. Everytime you stop everybody has to have bathroom , smoke , and eat break and it just slows the trip down.  I like the feeling of ride like hell when I want and if I want to stop every 50 miles thats OK to. I guess a small group of well acquainted riders with the same riding style is fun. I have not had that in a long time. I don't knock anybody for how they like to travel. I just know what feels good to me. Rode to Sturgis by myself in 2 days. Rode From Cincinnati to Panama city in 14 hours alone for Thunderbeach rally in 04. One of the highlights of that trip was on the return I ran with 2 proschas 100mph until I needed gas. That was a nice adrenaline ride! Ran a whole tank of gas and pushed 100 and better to keep up. Both of those trips were on my 01 low rider.

i've stopped and stood in some of the same places he depicted in his video,  my ride was from ND to jasper but to see those places again brouught back some fond memories.
dang it i'm gonna take that ride again.

I'm currently planning a trip which will start from Dallas, dont think i'll make it that far. 1000 miles in a day?
