Custom Exhaust
« on: January 12, 2012, 03:49:07 PM »

Well, I placed my order in for a "skunk" in September 2011 and I got a February 2012 build with a March 2012 delivery...it's been a looooong winter waiting for my new ride but it will get here! :)

Anyway with all this waiting I have been buying a few parts (sitting in the garage)....the only thing left to decide on is exhaust.

I think I am going to go with Fullsac headpipe and TTS but still deciding on mufflers...I may just do the Fullsac recores but I am always looking around for ideas.

I've had Vance and Hines and Rinehart's in the past but has anyone any experience with these?:

http://rccomponents.com/rcxhaust/products/billet_aluminum_end_caps.htm

They do have a pretty good selection of end caps (check out the Excalibur Eclipse/XXL end caps)...maybe just another muffler to consider?

Let me know what you think or if you have any experience with these mufflers.

Thanks!

I did the fullsac route with my 09, head pipe and the 2.25 baffles and TTS.  I really liked it.

I however went with the Jackpot head pipe based on the recommendations of my tuner, as it has 2 sets of 02 sensor bungs so he can use one set for tuning and get better results than in the tail pipe.

I also went with the Jackpot pro tour mufflers.  If I do not like the sound, then it will be the fullsac 2.25 baffles again as I really liked the sound.

I will be doing the install around Jan 26 or 27th when I should be getting back to the states.

SB,  Moved this thread here to get you more and better responses.  The only disadvantage I can think of to the fulsac baffles at this point is that you do not have the bike yet to do the swap.

I have these and am trying to decide on the head pipe  http://rccomponents.com/rcxhaust/products/billet_aluminum_end_caps.htm  Rival Eclipse,  I chose them since they were "close" to OEM look and didnt think the wife would notice more accessories...which is a good reason for my thinking the jackpot headpipe might be the best as well...any thoughts?

they got some nice end caps, and also have them in 4". I wonder if they would fit the Rineharts, as in if the holes line up.

I'm going with the fullsac system.   I like the look of the stock mufflers best of all on the sesg. The way the fit under the bags look best to me.  I'll go with their x pipe too And just keep the whole thing looking stock. I don't like loud and the Rineharts and the V/H are both very loud to me.  I'm going with the 2" cores.   I hope they will work for me,  but I'll roll the dice anyway.  Just about everyone on here says great things about them.  But the stock look is what I am after.  Andrews cams and tts should get me going fine, with a good tune.   :2vrolijk_21:

For your info, when I contacted RC, they told me they are very close to releasing their own headpipe to go with their mufflers for a complete exhaust system.

They will be releasing a couple of different headpipes for people to choose...since my Harley is not arriving until March, I've got time to wait! :)

And yes, the stock system does look good once you upgrade to the Fullsac system...decisions, decisions!
