Does anyone have any experience on a 110" motor build using these cylinders?

We've bored cases for other outfits, to that spigot dimension, upon their request, but accoding to Axtell Sales, the clamping load between the OEM stud pattern, is diminished, and won't actually "leak", but rather "weep", as we have been told.
Hearing that info some time ago, and also knowing of first-hand results, we sign off at the 4 1/8" bore on these.
Again this was some time ago, and perhaps there is something in place to rectify that, but we'd rather stay on the drip-free, side of the fence here. :)

I wonder what RevPerf has to say about that!

Does that mean the 117" cylinders don't have that issue?

Agreed.  Have spoken with representatives of the company there several times on various subjects.  While their track record of almost exceedingly generous efforts at customer service with some here is admirable an even more refreshing trait has been a willingness to discuss only their own products.  There's no negativity toward the competition.  In fact there's an unwillingness to even mention them.  They're willing to stand on their own.

I wonder what RevPerf has to say about that!

4.250" bore cylinders in general, have carried that notoriety, no matter the brand name, and Axtell Sales, Inc., Des Moines, Iowa, can surely be contacted to hear the explanation.
Not a real secret. ;)

From what we see here, that is correct. :)

I had the 124 (4 1/4)RevPerf and ended up going down to a 117 (4 1/8) due to head gasket issues.  That being said, a new head gasket has been developed and I don't know of anyone having any issues anymore.

How long did you have the 124" and would you do it again if there were no issues?
How do you like the 117" and what other performance mods did you do?
What about performance differences?

Have 3 4.250" motors in the barn. None have had any head gasket problems.

There is nothing wrong with a 4.125" motor. A little more gasket area.

Have you considered the Zipper's 124" muscle kit?  4 1/8" bore x 4 5/8" stroke.

Having experienced their machine work and joyful attitude once it's something I'll choose not to do again.

I had the 124 for about 27,000 miles and would definitely do it again now that they have the new gaskets.  Revolution Performance was fantastic through the entire thing.

I had the crank and bottom end done, T-Man 625 cams, 58MM throttle body with 6.2 injectors, RevPer Stage 3 heads, roller rockers, etc.  I was looking for gobs of torque from 2-5K RPM and that is exactly what I got!  The 117 was still strong but going smaller is never fun.  I lost about 8-9 torque and HP.
