1987 FXR 1340 Help!!!
« on: January 27, 2012, 04:24:36 AM »

I have a 1987 FXR 1340 that i am fixing up for a friend and the rear hub is damaged due to the belt sprocket not being tight enough. i have found a nice tire and wheel set up from a 2002 Dyna Low Rider and was wondering if the hub from the 2002 could be laced into the orginal wheel of the 1987 FXR. I have tried doing a search here and was not able to find anything ( or just didn't look that close). any help would be appreciated. If anyone here would be happening to sell one please contact me

Thanks All

you need to measure the hub - the older bike uses different bearings so you will likley have to adapt axle and bearing - there ARE some kits to do this.

then if the lenght from face to face is the same it will work.
