Smart Siren II & Pager
« on: January 28, 2012, 10:50:53 PM »

I have a 2012 CVO Street Glide and just replaced the Smart Siren with the Smart Siren II (With antenna).  I can hear the siren Chirp when I turn on or off the ignition.  So far so good.

But I tried to link the remote with the siren II and It just does not work.  I followed the instructions.

Press and hold the button on the receiver until the less flash in sequence and the beeps onces every 2 seconds.  I then turn on and off the ignition and that is supposed to link the two.

But it does not... Any clues?

Thanks

Thanks the attachment worked... It is the same manual as I already have.

So frustrating that it does not work.

is the smart siren antenna attached directly to the frame or metal on the bike???? In the instructions I remember it saying that it must not touch any metal.

Thanks for the suggestion, but no... The antenna does not touch any metal.

When you turn the igniton on to pair the security system with your remote, wait until the turn signals flash once, indicating the security is disabled. Then turn the ignition off and the remote should pair with it once the two turn signal flashes indicate security enabled.

The 2013 FLHRSE5 Owners Manual is WRONG when it talks about turning the chirp on/off. The correct sequence is:
1. Turn ignition ON. Wait until red LED turns off, then turn ignition off.
2. Wait until the turn signals flash twice, then step 1. again.
3. Repeat 3 times. Then you should hear the chirp or if you were trying to turn the chirp off, the turn signals will flash without the chirp.

The above is only with the Smart Siren II (remote pager version).

Remember to use your Battery Tender when the bike with an alarm system is stored for 2 weeks or more.

Don't forget to pack spare batteries of the pager, it is a HOG.
