Since JC was talking in his "Mods" thread about getting a trike when he's too old to keep his beautiful blue bike upright any longer, it seemed timely to post this thread...

When I got Buster last August, my wife "inherited" our our 1995 FLHTP, "Bertha". She rode it like a soldier for a few months, but soon got tired of the heft of it.

So, I went to Killer Creek and bought her "Beyonce", a new 2012 Tri Glide Ultra, for Christmas. She loves it - now she doesn't have to worry about dropping a 900-pound E-Glide, cornering tightly, U-Turns, GRAVEL, or any of the other things that used to scare her to death on the bike.

I've blinged it out a lot, as some of these pics show. I also installed a Fullsac X-Pipe B, some V&H Big Ovals slip-ons I had lying around, and an Arlen Ness Big Sucker on it, and I've dropped in the TTS map that Steve George sent. Still have to do a bunch of VTune tuning work on it, to get it running they way I want it to.

My wife named her "Beyonce" because she's big, black, curvy, and dripping with diamonds... well, Diamond Ice, anyway!

Airwing TP Rack/LEDs, Chrome TP Light trim, Chrome Bumper, license plate frame



Just HAD to CHROME those lowers and put some bling on and under the front fender.
Visor-style trim rings and windshield trim, too...



Momma LOVES the Diamond Ice collection... and Beyonce has the whole thing!

I was doin fine till I saw those saddlebags.. Unbelievable ..LOL what will they think of next??? That is soooo kewl . makes me think of havin a leaner console in the auto ..

WOW Ken you have one lucky wife  That was so thoughtful of you to get her something that she is more comfortable riding and I must say it is beautiful  That will be my next purchase someday a trike.  Tell your wife congratulations on all her "diamonds"

Thanks for all the kind comments! I'll update the pics with some FULL BLING pics today. I have the Airwing Fender Rails and LED lights still to install - but you have to take the rear wheels off to install them. I also have a set of rear lift brackets that raise the rear end 1 1/4" and are supposed to improve the handling quite a bit, as well as keeping the pipes from dragging on the ground when entering a steep driveway. She's been lucky so far... pipes haven't hit ground yet. I'll install the lift brackets and the fender rails at Wiz's house soon... he has a nice Trike-capable lift we can use.

I'm just hoping they don't make an FLHTCUTGSE in 2013... 'Cuz if they do, Mary may want to step up and join the CVO crowd! YIKES!

LOL! They key to NOT having to do household chores and such is to happily VOLUNTEER to do them... but then do them SO BADLY that you are NEVER asked to do them again! Worked for me... although I hesitate to recommend the technique, as it could entail considerable risk...

Beyonce looks great! Really hard to beat a Black bike with Bling. My wife would love to have one of those also. Thought she was going to need one sooner rather than later until she got her knees fixed. Hey now you can be a BSR sometimes and take a nap or sight see.LOL. Yes momma looks very happy!

Yeah... we were going to get the Ember Red Sunglo one... it is beautiful in the sun... but we both thought the Diamond Ice bling would look much better on a black trike. I think we made the right color choice.

My riding buds are all just ITCHING to see ME riding BSR behind Mary on Beyonce... they all have their cameras at the ready, and have offered to PAY for any pics of that. I actually WANT to do it... it would be a blast being able to have some beers, snap pictures, mess around with the stereo, etc. and leave the driving to Mary... just not anywhere that will give them the satisfaction of being able to snap a pic of it! [/b] You just gotta know the group we ride with... I'd never hear the END of it!
