I'm looking for opinions from anyone who has taken one of the cruises. http://www.cruise-eta.com

From what I can see they look like a fabulous vacation idea. Do any of you have real life testimonials you can share? I would love to hear from you.

Have never taken one of these, but have been all over the Islands. Some great scenery, but most roads are bad. Little maintenance & lots of traffic. Be careful.

My wife and I did a ETA event in "06" Sailed from Miami, cruised to Puerto Rico, St Thomas , St Marteen, Bahamas. 7 dayer. P.R. was a little deflating as it was our first stop with the bikes. We rode to a few local bars , we actually got to ride up to the entrance of El Morro and got a tour of the fort. Then onto a gratuitous stop at the local Harley Tee shirt shop. But not before meandering thru the small streets of San Jaun and getting stuck in traffic. We did have a P.R. Motorcycle Police Escort from the ship and then back to the ship.
St Thomas was the next day, our escorts were locals from the island. Our stops were Mountain Top , Magens Bay , and then again the gratuitous stop at the tee shirt shops. The roads are not for the faint of heart. Very steep and winding , I don't think I ever got out of third gear. Don't get me wrong though, the island is very tropical and beautiful. It was a great experience.
St Marteen, we finally had a chance to get it out of 3rd gear. My favorite of the trip. I believe we went around the whole Island. We were hosted by the local Hog chapter. Great folks. We stopped at a few beaches and a couple of local bars. Sunset Beach Bar comes to mind. But that day I saw the most dumped bikes ever. Again the roads are not for a novice bikers. The riders were not down shifting fast enough and lugging the engines until the bike just quit climbing up the hills and just falling over.
Bahamas, we were not allowed to ride our bikes on that island. Maximum CC requirements. Something to do with being able to run from the cops and them not being able to catch us. Whatever....................Bahamas, not my favorite Carribean stop anyway.

Over all it was a fun trip. It is about a 1\3 more expensive than a normal cruise.....................................................Fuzz

We just got back from a short 5 day ETA cruise in Bermuda. While the island is very small, there are 256 miles of paved road winding through it. We had a blast with the local bike club; the Bermuda Longriders. Great hosts. We had local police escorts... Never stopped a single time for traffic or lights etc.

Bermuda has a 150cc limit, so us with the big twins were viewed as gods. Unbelievable howmany locals left their homes and businesses to waive as we rode by or came to take pictures when we parked. Everyone on the island was as friendly and welcoming as you could imagine. Un real.

We had one couple in our group actually get married. We were all in attendance for the short ceremony. It was originally supposed to be held on a beach in St. George, but it was very windy that day and the sand was blowing around like crazy. Steve Wallach (owner of ETA got on his cell, called the Mayor and moved the event to their town hall. It was the first wedding ever held there in their 400year history. It was covered by he local media... We actually were on the front Page of the Royal Gazette on April 24th.

The trip, loading and unloading the bikes, the rides, escorts, Gas etc etc was managed by Steve and his road captain Cuno in every respect. The events went off without a hitch.

If you want a truly unique riding experience, look into one of these Royal Caribbean Cruises through ETA. Check out their site at www.cruise-eta.com

Amazing and well worth the small price you pay over the regular cruiseline price for the same trip.
