I have a 2610 and while getting used to the features, loaded all the Harley Shop Waypoints [smiley=oops.gif].  Can anyone advise how to delete them?  I would like to select all and delete all at once.  These are not POI's so I am limited to the number of waypoints I can have and, you guessed it, I am getting the "Waypoints Full" error message :-[.

Thanks

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I am seriously directionally challenged. I have thought about applying for a handicap parking permit to help keep me from getting lost between my vehicle and the front door at work. I can’t function without a GPS; the nice thing about them is that they make you look like you know what the hell you are doing…once you get over the learning curve.

It looks like a global database of H-D Dealers is included with the H-D Quest models. Zoom out to a few hundred miles and scoot over to Seoul Korea, then used the Find - Dealers function (default near pointer) to display the attached screen print. I also used it last November in Great Brittan; the folks planning the roads over there are completely out of control.

I heard, although unconfirmed, that the Conquest is not the same as the Quest2 in that it is supposed to refresh much faster than the Quest2. I heard from a couple of youngsters hanging out in front of the Drug Store that units with the entire North American database refresh much slower than the original Quest units. I don’t know how big of an issue the refresh timing is since I am still running the original Quest. I will be changing though; the convenience of being able to simply hit the road without messing around loading maps is an attractive proposition.

Look at that; you can modify your post. Very cool!
Some of the fuzziness is clearing on the refresh thing. I thought that I killed all of those brain cells the other night; apparently a few of them survived. As I remember hearing it, the Conquest has 2GB of base memory and the Quest2 has only 1GB. The 2GB is mentioned in Harley’s catalog although I do not see a published spec for the Quest2.

There was a new update to the HD POI...I know that it corrects Manchester, NH...attached is a zip file

rename from H-D_POIs_Sep_06.jpeg to H-D_POIs_Sep_06.zip after downloading

A word of caution...and I do not have extensive testing but on my 2730, I loaded these 930 POIs with a five mile proximity alert and at times it brought the map drawing to a standstill.  The GPS location and statistics screen were unaffected just the map redraw.  so last night I removed the POIs, reloaded them without the proximity alert and ran the same route this morning with no issues...YMMV.

It has a whole collection of POI's, HD, Walmart, car dealerships etc.

Be warned however, it is a CANADIAN website!!

I use the latest Harley POI with my Zumo 550 without issues. Be sure to thank Dave Hansen for his excellent work on the Harley Dealer POI file, his email address is in the readme file in his download. If he has your email address he will notify you when he updates the HD POI file, he has been updating it about twice a year thus far.
