Oil Cooler Fan
« on: February 08, 2012, 09:00:13 PM »

Here's an update  i purchased  the big sky fan kit for my bike
I'm using the OEM Harley oil cooler made for the softail's  unfortunately due to the very limited space of the cooler i can only use 1 fan on the cooler , there is not enough room to utilize both fans
so i figured 1 fan is better then nothing  and i have a spare fan in case 1 goes bad
i will take pics  and post them tomarrow

I installed the kit on my 2009 SERG and have been happy with the results.  I was able to fit both fans.

I would have been interested, but after some other work, new exhaust system(no cat) Hi-flow AC, cams, a good tune and I don't have a heating issue(especially since it is freezing) as I had the work done in August and it never went beyond 240* even when above 100* ambient!! Normal 90* days and I don't see 230!! Changed my whole veiw on how to deal with this issue. Won't work in all states though, running this fat and no cat, it would fail on a test at Air Quality in those states.

I ordered the same HD Oil Cooler and Big Sky fans.   I have the oil cooler installed except for the chrome cover.   I'm a bit nervous to install with just the provided glue so let me know how you installed the chrome cover.
Take some close up picts so I can see how your fan installed.   I held up the 2 fans behind the oil cooler and it seems like they should fit.

Did you have to change any thing to make it fit?
Do you have any photos posted after the install?
Thanks
