THis is a sad story... on January 21st, Officer Davis had stopped his patrol car to assist a motorist who was stranded in the fast lane (no emergeny shoulder area)

He had strobe lights on, had just checked on the motorists and went back to his patrol car when it was struck from behind by a 4x4 truck.

The impact was so severe the patrol car ignited and passerbys were unable to extract him from the car.

There were services held Tuesday, then a final ceremony in front of the Main Police Station in Honolulu as his ashes were taken to the airport to return to his native California.

Thank you for your service Officer Davis.

Same thing happened around here to one of our fine State Troopers. Hit from behind by 18 wheeler on US40 in Jackson, TN.  Trooper was in median when hit. Rescuers could not get him out because of fire and said that they could hear his service revolver ammo exploding due to the fire.  What a waste.

RIP Officer Davis.  You gave your all.  May God bless you and your family and help them through this difficult time.

Very sad,I will pray for his family and friends for there loss. Such a waste when all it takes is for whom ever operates a motor vehicle is to pay attention and respect the responsibility they have doing so.
