We are over due for a big one. The big question is where? Nor. Cal., So. Cal? The San Andreas Fault comes to the surface about 6 miles from here, really neat looking, but it is that close.

probly all of them at one time,, remember the prediction for California where everything west of the Sierras from Las Angles to the Oregon border falls deep into the Pacific Ocean?? Yipiee,, I got both Harley's fueled up and pointed east....  and ready to use my lane cutting experience at at  minutes notice.   :'(

The little lady predicts that California will fall off into the ocean.  Let me refill her wine to see if she can predict a date.

I have been in a few small tremors back in my sales days in CA.  People in the office would jump under desks, stand in doorways, and I would be sitting there wondering why the floor was moving.  Too bad there aren't early warning systems for the big ones.  So much has gone into weather prediction, and that's much easier for those guys to watch radar all day.  We rely on that for the tornadoes down this way, and the sirens letting us know to hide out for a bit.

Yeh Possum:

I lived in the Southeast for 25 years. As a Telecom Engineer spent many of them working the repairs of facilities after hurricanes and tornado's. I've always said there is an advantage to being able to see them coming.  And that rings true now as ever.

If this happens then I should have beach-front property here on the East side of the Sierras.  However, there was talk about Mammoth blowing a few years ago....Hmmmm....Greg, you and I better get some more skiing in before that happens  :nervous:

It was on the news this week.....they're going to develop an early warning system of sorts for the volcanoes out here.  They said that Mt. Lassen should be the next one to go....... :nixweiss:

Drink all you can now, you don't want to  spill any. I have found that quakes are not as bad when you are drunk!
Good Luck!!!!

When I moved to the Vancouver, British Columbia area from Alberta, I went to get my home owners insurance and my premium included "earth quake insurance" and I said WTF?, really and then I joked if there's going to be an earthquake and a potential tsunami I'm going to that mountain over there (Mount Baker in Washington), then I found out that it's a volcano, so I'm trapped!!!!!  :nervous:
