Fairing lower speaker kit
« on: February 19, 2012, 09:37:12 AM »

Heres a new one . I got the new Fairing lower speaker kit (76000050) for the bike this last week and low and behold you have change out the Amp for the 4 channel one (76000070). So I had the shop pair them up with the original amp and hope they work, checked it out and sounds good at the shop, will have to wait to actually ride it to get the final verdict.

I changed my lowers to speakers on my road glide ultra and did not have to change the amp. all they did was wire them into the fairing and they sound great.

They wired them in after they called HD Tech service to make sure the amp could handle the extra speakers.

my lower speakers were wired into the fairing direct to the other ports on the radio. no other parts were needed I also put in a hidden antenna at the same time to get rid of the whips.

well my speakers worked fine for a little while. now they want 550 dollars for a amp kit and 2 hours labor to put it in. just found this out today the speakers were cutting out at 5 bars or over on the radio.
