Is everyone using the Jr. or the Plus :nixweiss:
Mine is actually the H-D branded Plus model (made by Deltran...  verified by the instructions included with it) P/N 99863-93TA. It looks exactly like the "Battery Tender Plus...

But has "Bar & Shield" Logo w/Battery Tender Plus underneath on the face of it instead of "Battery Tender..."

Dood, my BT is the plus model. The lights do flash the same as yours. Eventually I get the solid green light. I've had mine for about 5 yrs or so. So far so good......................................Fuzz

I've been putting it on my old battery once a week just to make sure the lights are cycling with the hopes that if the lights cycle then it is still working and charging. Mine is over 8 years old as I purchased it when I had my Fatboy. Good to know that Deltran will replace them for a nominal fee if they do go bad... hoping that is the case w/the MoCo branded ones (keeping fingers crossed). Either way at $64.95 and over ten years of everyday service/usage I can't complain. :2vrolijk_21:

I had to have one replaced due to a voltage surge at the house a while back.  They said if your wall outlet voltage dropped below a set level (I think I remember 80 AC volts, don't really remember...) it would open an internal fuse which drives the need to replace.  Don't remember all of the details these days, but they were very nice to deal with.

My tender says you can hook up to four batteries in parallel to the same tender. Has anyone ever done this. I haven't got the balls to try it.

If anyone has a questionable Battery Tender, and is going to Bikeweek. Take it by the Factory, they are just down International Speedway in Deland. I took two by there year before last, one they replaced (free) and the other they checked and verified it was O.K.
Great people, I was only there about 10 minutes. They are on north side of International Speedway and have a sign just like the Tender face plate, can't miss them.

Mines a Harley Davidson Battery Tender. Went to hook it up the other day and it was dead. The inline fuse was still good so I guess it just took a dump too!! No lights, nothing!!

See if you can find an old one someone is willing to part with.  Folks like 'd00d and I have ancient ones that just keep plugging along (mine's 13 years old now), but I'm hearing about failures on the new ones.  I assume these old ones were built with higher quality non-Chinese components. ;)

Oh, btw, if you have it plugged into a GFCI circuit, before you assume the charger is kaput make sure you really have power at the outlet.  It really sucks to go out and buy a new device only to find that the outlet is dead.

Jerry I opened up one and it had a burnt spot on the board.

The other one still puts out 6.38v.....1/2 desired voltage :nixweiss:

I have with semi trucks and it worked just fine as long as all the batts are good, and if one goes bad during the winter the worst thing is the tender starts flashing problem mode.

Just ordered a 2nd BT Plus. Old one is still doing great but the Internation model that I've been using on one bike got so the yellow light wouldn't go to the green one and the body of the charger seems to stay 'hot'....so, I'm going to replace with the Plus just because I'm a nervous nellie.. :nervous:..spyder
